Child Care From Your Own Home!
The Home Community Care program allows ANG/AFR parents to utilize state licensed Family Child Care homes in the local community for drill weekends. Home Community Care is currently being offered in several communities across the Air Force Reserve Command and we're trying to bring the program to Homestead. Family Child Care Program Requirements:
Providers must be State Licensed Family Child Care providers.
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Be able to read, speak and write English
- Complete a physical examination, including up to date immunizations and a Tuberculosis skin test, updated every three years completed by a licensed Health care professional
- Have State, County or Municipal registration or certification documents
- Have a satisfactory background screening. All members of the household 16 years of age and older are required to have satisfactory back ground checks.
*NOTE: If state law prohibits the initiation of background checks on family members under the age of 16 living in the home, the provider must sign a notarized affidavit verifying that the child has not been convicted of any crime related to child abuse, domestic violence, sexual assault, or drugs. An affidavit will be provided by this office. - Have proof of current certification in Infant/Child CPR and First Aid
- Have proof of $300,000 liability insurance
- Have proof of enrollment in USDA Adult and Child Food program (if available)
