Base Honor Guard

Mission of the 482d Base Honor Guard

To render military honors through precise execution of ceremonial and funeral functions.

The overall mission of the Base Honor Guard is to provide

support to active duty base of Patrick AFB in the Military Funeral

Honors Program. In 2000, Congress passed the National

Defence Authorization Act to provide military funeral honors to

any veteran. Homestead ARB Honor Guard is dedicated to

support the mission to provide military funeral honors to our

honored veterans in the south Florida area of Miami-Dade,

Broward and West Palm Beach counties.

The Base Honor Guard also provides Color Guard teams to military and community events when possible. Request for Color Guards can be made by completing a standard request form (DD 2536) and faxing or emailing the completed form preferrably two weeks in advance of scheduled event. All requests are on a first come first serve basis. Color Guards requests may be cancelled due to mission priorities. Download a request form here.
